Angela Anderson holds a BFA in painting from UNH, Durham, with post graduate Studio Art Studies in NYC at Empire State College. Angela has exhibited nationally and in Europe. She is the subject of many of Philip Pearlstein's paintings, and has collaborated with German artist Martin Kippenberger, her work being shown internationally Paris at the Pompadour Centre and in Metro Gallery, New York. Her solo show in Munich Germany led to Residencies in Nice, France and Vence, France. Returning to Port Clyde after serious art studies abroad and in New York, she brings that background to several different series of works. Her catalog includes Circus, History, Portraiture and Narrative figurative works as well as simple Maine scenes and still lifes. Recently abstractions and large painterly berries have been featured in shows in Maine and Florida. Angela became the President of the Port Clyde Art Gallery in 2020. She exhibits in Southwest Florida in the winters where her husband and she own a home. She is a 4th generation Port Clyder.
