Carol Douglas
Carol L. Douglas is a painter and teacher from Rockport, ME.
A native of Buffalo, NY, she studied painting with her father and then at the Art Students League in New York. She lived and worked in Rochester, NY for 25 years before moving to Maine in 2016.
She teaches a popular week-long workshop in Acadia National Park every August and workshops elsewhere in the US. Twice a season, she teaches a watercolor workshop aboard the schooner American Eagle. When she’s not teaching on the boat, she’s often painting portraits of other classic wooden boats in Rockport, Camden or Rockland harbors. She has a gallery at 394 Commercial Street, Rockport.
